Winter Training

The temperatures have been all over the chart. From: 56 degrees & rain; 26 degrees & ice; 40 degrees & "really" cold rain! I have my assortment of clothes laying around all over the house. Always gloves!, maybe hand warmers - those are my new addition to my arsenal.

A group a girls to run with has been such a change from last Winter. All of my long runs were by myself for the most part. It is a nice to run and chat and be pushed further than I thought I could go and a much faster pace! Thanks to Ronda and Sarah!

I have made plans for my first 100 mile race: Bighorn 100M. It will be another adventure to add to the books. I hope I can walk away and not only walk away but feel good about the race. I have my 3rd marathon in Feb. & the late Spring adventure trip looks like Mt. Timpanogos marathon (a training run), along with a few other training runs in between. I will take a good stab @ Waldo this coming year too..and then end my year with Bear 100M.

Looks like we have some traveling to do. Gary has a few races he is "praying" he makes it into. Hardrock 100M is his dream race; Wasatch 100M (2nd runner-up), we'll have to wait and see what the Lord has planned for him & myself. He knows our "hearts" desire...and has given us the strength and endurance to have a ton of fun running & running together!

We are thankful to be alive and to be fit. No prescriptions and nothing a run in the woods on a good muddy trail that can't be worked out!

I am going to get some of those hand warmers for next time it gets cold. What have I been waiting for?! I'm tired of frozen hands!! ;-)

Your going to have another great season!
