Doubt: It's a matter of the mind!

Build 2
This week as been incredible. Discovery of a new level is really amazing. Pushing my body harder than before is intense but, to see the response is even cooler. Doubt is a matter of the mind! That statement is so true! Thinking back to so many times during my 2 years of running "doubt" has been a huge factor. Pushing through pain and demanding more from yourself is so hard to do. Your body responds differently with each phase. Ronda talked about how training different levels effects you and changes happen.
Friday, was hill repeat day @ the Gorge on the PCT. I was able to make my first 2 x 40 min. Micheal and I ran the first 1 mile to the trailhead and then off we went at our own paces, which meant saying "goodbye" to Micheal as he disappeared up the hill. We saw each other in passing for a couple of high fives and woohoo's. I ended my workout around 10:40ish My heartrate was fairly good this week. I kept it no higher than 172 on the steep sections and 167ish for the gradual slopes.
Sat. Night- 5.5 hour run. we met up with Trisha and Darin for a "double date"! We started at the zoo @ 5:00 and met them up on 53rd about 6:50 or so. We were coming off the climb to 53rd and they were bounding and ready to go. Darin had ran 21 earlier in the morning....I was hoping he might not be "so" peppy....but, he was pushing the pace for most of the run. It was a good "push
Being pushed out of your comfort zone is a good thing. It has had me thinking. I'm not pushing myself hard enough. I'm not asking enough of myself. I slow down when I don't have to or at least slow down too much. I try and think to logical on somethings and "what if" a lot of things that have to do with Ultrarunning. From here on out......I will not say "what if"....I'll try to push out of that comfort zone and forge through something different. If I go too far then I'll know what happens instead of pulling back before I ever get there.
Doubt: It's a matter of the mind!
