Finally, company on a run. I have a "real" schedule!, thanks to Darin. With the change has come a change in my weekly routine. I have been missing out on my weekly run with Trisha :-( So on Sunday it was a nice treat to have some company & head out for my long run of the week. We ran 14+ miles Wildwood/Maple/Wildwood. Perfect weather, we were actually a little on the hot side. The wind would blow and the sound was incredible. I love the sound of the wind it is so refreshing. It reminds me of the ocean, minus the sand! I'm not a beach person.
My training is going good. I get a massage on Friday so I am way excited. I need to get all of my leg muscles to let go!! They are way too tight everywhere!
Hill repeats - They have been going good, I try to stay focused in a good way when I head out to do them.....they are so hard and I know what my body is in for before I get there. I wish there was a way to surprise myself. The hill repeats are hard.......I'm landing in the same spots, but feel stronger when I get there, if that makes sense.
Back to Backs - This is my first time doing back to backs since Christmas Camp - suprisingly I'm feeling well, just some tight muscles. I'm not really sore.
Track - Track is going good. I am ramping up my pace slowly. I feel so much stronger about 1 hour into it and then it's time to go home. I need some warm up time. I know a lot of it is mental and pushing myself hard early on is a little scary. I'm always afraid I won't have much left at the end.
Peterson's Rumble - This Sunday is Peterson's Rumble, everyone in my house is "SICK", I'm am taking every misc. vitamin I can find that might help to stave off the deadly bug! So I'm hoping I can at least not get sick until Monday! But, I"m praying that I wont at all.
I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
