Interview.

1. What race are you most proud of and why?

2008 - MacDonald Forest 50K. It was my first "Ultra", it was a large undertaking but I knew I had entered a different bracket with my running.

2. What is your favorite trail?

Wildwood. I love the ups/downs and Mud that it offers!

3. What is your pie-in-the-sky, "dream" race and why did you choose this race?

WS100. I saw the video 2 years ago and thought, wow!, if I could only complete that.

4. How did you make the progression from non-runner to ultra-runner so fast?

I was sick for 1.5 years with an undiagnosed illness. Pain all over my body which continued to only get worse. Despite the pain I wanted off the narcotic drugs, so I tapered and got off the junk and regained my sanity! I first ran on my treadmill...then outside 3M., then started reading a book called "Ultra Marathon Man".That was it I was hooked. I went from 5K's to 30K to 50K.

5. What is the most valuable lesson you have learned from your experience with ultrarunning?

Anything is possible if you really want it! It's hard, not easy but more things are possible than we chose to believe!
